Office 2021 Pro Plus gets the collaboration features found in Microsoft 365 with real-time editing, support for OneDrive cloud storage, and integration with Microsoft Teams. Office 2021 has an updated design with a ribbon interface, rounded corners, and a neutral color palette that matches the UI changes in Windows 11.
Microsoft is also adding some other Microsoft 365 features to Office 2021, including modern Excel features, PowerPoint enhancements, improved handwriting in Office apps, and translation support in Outlook.
Here are the main new features in Office 2021:
+ The XLOOKUP function helps you find items by row in a table or range in an Excel worksheet.
+ Support for dynamic arrays – new functions in Excel: FILTER, SORT, SORTBY, UNIQUE, SEQUENCE and RANDARRAY.
+ Function LET – allows you to assign names to the results of calculations.
+ XMATCH Function (SEARCH) – Searches for a specified element in an array or range of cells and returns the relative position of the element.
+ Improved slideshow recording – This PowerPoint feature now includes video recording of the speaker, handwriting, and laser pointer.
+ Reproducing pen strokes – If you’re using inking in PowerPoint, you can now show step-by-step drawing steps or show the process of thinking.
+ Arrange items on slides for screen readers – You can view items in screen reading order and rearrange them as needed.
+ Translator and handwriting – You can annotate emails in Outlook, add notes to images in emails, and translate emails into over 70 languages.
+ Quick Outlook Search – Search results now appear very quickly, with many ways to refine and filter the results.
+ Support for OpenDocument Format (ODF) 1.3
+ Updated Draw tab (Drawing) – you can quickly change the color of all handwriting tools in one place, added a point eraser, a ruler and arbitrary selection.
+ Performance improvements.
