Want to feel like a hacker? Or just want to find that one obscure mouse setting without clicking through 5 different menus?
You need God Mode.
Despite the dramatic name, God Mode (officially known as the Windows Master Control Panel Shortcut) is a hidden developer feature that lists every single configurable setting in Windows in one massive, searchable list.
How to Enable It
You don’t need to edit the Registry or run a script. You just need to create a folder.
- Right-click on your Desktop -> New -> Folder.
- Name the folder exactly this (copy and paste it):
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} - Press Enter.
What Happens?
The folder icon will disappear and turn into a Control Panel icon. The name “GodMode” will vanish.
When you double-click it, you will see a categorized list of over 200 administrative tools.
What can you do here?
- Administrative Tools: Defragment drives, format partitions, schedule tasks.
- Power Options: Edit power plans instantly.
- Devices and Printers: Manage everything connected to your PC.
- Network: View network computers and devices.
Why is this useful?
Microsoft is slowly moving settings from the classic “Control Panel” to the new “Settings App.” This transition is messy. Some settings are in the App, some are still in the old Panel.
God Mode bypasses this confusion. It doesn’t care about the UI overhaul; it just gives you the raw list of commands.
If you are an IT Pro or a Power User who hates searching for settings, put this folder on your desktop and never dig through menus again.
